Enable partners to use Reusable discounts
Adobe VIP Marketplace reusable flexible discounts let customers who redeem a discount before its promotional end date keep that pricing on renewals and seat additions until the Adobe-defined Reusable Until date. This builds on existing Adobe flexible discount support and helps partners retain campaign pricing after the campaign ends.
Partners can:
- Identify reusable Adobe flex discounts and view their Reusable Until date while browsing and importing discounts.
- Filter the discount listing by reusability.
- Import reusable discounts so that eligible subscriptions automatically retain the discounted pricing through renewals and seat additions.
Prerequisitesβ
-
All prerequisites in Enable partners to sync and use Adobe flexible discounts in the Marketplace must be met.
-
Contact your AppDirect technical representative to enable reusable discount support.
π Note: Double-check all prerequisites and marketplace settings as specified in this section, even if they were configured previously.
Key conceptsβ
- Discount end date: When the promotion ends. After this date, new buyers cannot redeem the discount.
- Reusable Until: The date through which customers who redeemed the discount keep the pricing on renewals and seat additions. Adobe sets this date; it cannot be edited in the marketplace.
- Reusable: Indicates that the discount supports pricing continuity after the promotional end date.
Identify reusable discountsβ
- Go to Manage > Marketplace > Products > PRICE MANAGEMENT | Discounts. The Discounts List page opens.
- Click Import External Discounts. The listing displays the Reusable Until column, which shows the date through which each discount is reusable. An em dash appears for non-reusable discounts.
- Use the Reusability filter (Show all, Yes, or No) to narrow the list.
- Click a discount to open the detail panel. For reusable discounts, the Renewal Reusability section shows a read-only Reusable through date.
Import reusable discountsβ
-
Select the discounts you want to import and click Import Selected Codes.
-
Confirm that the discount expiration date is the promotional end date, not the Reusable Until date.
-
Leave the Billing Cycle field empty so the discount can continue to apply at renewal. This field is available on the Discount page after the discount is created.
π Note: The Reusable Until date is visible only in the import UI. It is not stored in the marketplace after import.
When a customer redeems the discount at least once before the discount end date, eligible subscriptions automatically renew with the discounted pricing until the Reusable Until date. No additional opt-in is required, provided Billing Cycle is empty.
