Sell Dropbox products

On a marketplace, you can sell Dropbox products as a direct Dropbox reseller. To sell Dropbox products as described in this section, you must be a platform owner with a marketplace.

Prerequisites

• Create a reseller account with Dropbox (and create an “app”).

  • Refer to Dropbox’s onboarding documentation guide for details on obtaining the credentials. To use the APIs, navigate to the Authentication tab, select Basic Authentication, and enter the credentials.

• Contact your AppDirect technical representative to enable the feature on the platform.

• Complete the following settings on the marketplace. You should have a Marketplace Manager or higher role to perform these settings.

  • Clear ‘Assign and Unassign’ and ‘Single sign-on’ checkboxes before publishing the application, as user assignment and single sign-on are not available.

  

  • Dropbox uses edition ranks to decide the nature of transitions from one edition to another. Refer to Configure subscriptions to enable edition rank on the marketplace.

Complete the following steps:

• Contact your AppDirect technical representative to request the syndication of products.

• Connect add-ons to base editions. Refer to Edit connections to parent products for more details.

• Configure a connector for Dropbox.

• Create product profiles. Contact your AppDirect technical representative for new product inclusion in your catalog.
