Enable partners to sell products for new market segments

This section provides instructions that the partners must follow to start selling Adobe offers from the Education and Government segments.

Limitations

If a distributor or reseller has the distribution license to sell offers from EDU or GOV segments but not from the COM segment, they must contact AppDirect technical representative for assistance.

📝 Note: AppDirect serves as a technology platform provider and has access only to subscription management APIs of Adobe. For detailed information regarding specific program processes, including their market segment business rules, we recommend reaching out to your designated Adobe CAM.

Prerequisites

Before selling products, partners must ensure that the following prerequisites are met:

• Contact your AppDirect technical representative to onboard the products.
• Set up the reseller account(s) (including the default reseller account for the distributor) on the Adobe console for the market segment of the offer being purchased, if not done already. Contact your designated Adobe CAM for assistance.
• Set up Adobe integration, if not done already. Refer to Configure and sell Adobe products for more details.
• Enable Adobe 3YC program, if not done already. Refer to Enable partners to use Adobe 3YC program for more details.

Important points

This section provides important points that help you in selling products in the new market segments.

• Resellers can have multiple market segments, but the customer can have only one market segment. The reseller must support the customer segment value.
• A customer’s market segment can only be changed if there are no active subscriptions, and the reseller must support the new segment.
• Only the customers purchasing offers from the Education segment have a sub-segment value.
• Sub-segment value can be viewed only on Adobe console.
• At the time of this launch, there are no promo SKUs and Add-ons available for EDU and GOV segments from Adobe.
