Activate volume discounts for pre-price book Adobe partners

This section provides the necessary steps to enable volume discounting (VD) for Adobe partners selling Adobe products before the price book launch and has not yet adopted volume discount functionality.

Prerequisites

Before activating volume discounting, partners must ensure that the following prerequisites are met. Follow these steps sequentially.

1. Set up Adobe integration, if not done already. Refer to Configure and sell Adobe products for more details. Contact your AppDirect technical representative for further assistance.

2. Product profile updates

   Ensure that the following updates are completed for partners who require volume discounts:

   1. Single edition requirement

      Each Adobe product profile must be configured with a single edition in accordance with Adobe's volume discounting rules on the AppDirect platform.

      For each Adobe product, ensure it is syndicated with a single edition (VIP Level 1). The edition code should contain '01' (For example - 65304520CA01A12).

   2. Management of multiple language packs

      For partners offering Adobe products with multiple language packs, separate product profiles are required for each language version.

      For example, if offering Adobe Photoshop for Teams in EU English and multiple other EU languages, create two unique product profiles -

      Adobe Photoshop for Teams - EU English

      Adobe Photoshop for Teams - Multi EU Languages

      Ensure each profile contains only one VIP Level 1 edition.

3. Price book updates

   Price book configuration

   Verify that price books are created for the required VIP levels and configured for all Adobe products to support volume discounting.

4. Subscription updates

   Soft cancel and re-migrate subscriptions

   To enable volume discounting, all active Adobe subscriptions must be soft-canceled and re-migrated to the updated product profiles.

By following these steps, Adobe partners who are pre-price book can enable volume discounting functionality, allowing them to benefit from this feature for all Adobe sales.
