Sync products between an AppDirect marketplace and Salesforce
In order to build and complete an opportunity in Salesforce, you must push marketplace products to Salesforce and update their pricing information manually. You can manually export products from a marketplace and then upload them into Salesforce. However, with the help of webhooks, newly created products in a marketplace can be automatically synced with Salesforce. Configure webhooks for product events to automatically push the changes to Salesforce whenever products are created, updated, or deleted.
Prerequisite
- Create webhooks for products in AppDirect. For more information, refer to the Create a new webhook in AppDirect section in Configure Inbound Authentication.
Sync new products in the AppDirect marketplace with Salesforce
- Create new products in the Staging Catalog of an AppDirect marketplace. For more information, see Create products in the Staging Catalog.
- Publish products from the Staging Catalog. For more information, see Publish products.
- Open Salesforce and navigate to the Products tab to verify whether the newly created products in your marketplace are displayed.
When you update product information in your marketplace, the changes are automatically updated in the Salesforce product catalog. Similarly, when you delete a product from your AppDirect marketplace, it is marked as inactive in Salesforce.
