Create an integration user in Salesforce

Create an integration user so that the actions that user performs in Salesforce will be reflected in AppDirect.

note

Instead of creating a new user, you can also use an existing integration user. Ensure the integration user has the AppDirect Admin permission set. See Assign AppDirect admin permission set.

An integration user is authenticated to perform actions limited to the AppDirect for Salesforce installation.

Prerequisites

Add custom field mapping between AppDirect and Salesforce

  1. Click the gear icon on the top right of the page.
  2. Click Setup.
  3. Go to Administration > Users > Users.
  4. Click New User.
  5. Fill in the fields in the New User page and select the following options for the fields described in the table below:

  1. Click Save.
  2. Assign this integration user the AppDirect admin permission set.
