Renew marketplace certificates

Marketplace Managers can use a custom URL for their marketplace. See Configure a custom domain to set up a custom domain.

Every marketplace certificate has an expiry date. Renew your certificate before it expires to avoid service disruptions for your marketplace users.

Renew your certificate in the marketplace

If Domain and Certificate Management is enabled for your marketplace, use the dashboard to renew a bring-your-own certificate.

AppDirect-provided certificates renew automatically. No action is required when your marketplace uses an AppDirect-provided certificate.

The Certificate Management dashboard may show how long your certificate is valid. Renew Certificate appears when you use your own certificate.

Your existing certificate stays active until you upload and deploy a replacement during renewal.

If you renew your certificate before the expiry date, the expiry date of your new certificate is set accordingly. For example, if you renew a one-year certificate 30 days early, it is valid until a year after your original certificate was set to expire.

Request certificate renewal

If Domain and Certificate Management is not enabled for your marketplace, contact your AppDirect technical representative to renew your certificate. You can also email a file that includes the public and intermediate certificates to support@appdirect.com with the subject Renew marketplace domain certificate.

If the private key file has changed from the previous certificate, use a secure method to transmit the private key file. AppDirect validates the information you provided, then updates your marketplace certificate within 2 business days.
