Renew marketplace certificates
Marketplace Managers can configure custom URLs for their marketplaces. To configure a custom domain, Marketplace Managers must upload a marketplace certificate (see Configure a custom domain).
Every marketplace certificate has an expiry date. To prevent service disruptions for your marketplace users—including denied access—you must renew your certificate at least 7 days before your current certificate expires. AppDirect sends you notifications 60, 30, 21, 14, 7, 3 and 1 days before expiration to prompt you to renew your certificate.
If you renew your certificate before the expiry date, the expiry date of your new certificate is set accordingly. For example, if you renew a one-year certificate 30 days early, it is valid until a year after your original certificate was set to expire.
To renew a marketplace certificate
- Contact your certificate provider to renew your certificate.
- Email a file that includes the public and intermediate certificates to support@appdirect.com with the subject as Renew marketplace domain certificate. If the private key file has changed from the previous certificate, use a secure method to transmit the private key file.
AppDirect validates the information that you provided, then updates your marketplace certificate within 2 business days.
