Add AppDirect custom fields to page layouts

This procedure defines the new fields that will appear on Salesforce pages such as User, Account, and Opportunity. These fields will be populated with data originating from the .

Prerequisites

Assign AppDirect admin permission set

To add custom fields to a standard object page

1. Click the gear icon on the top right of the page.

2. Click Setup.

3. Go to Platform Tools > Objects and Fields > Object Manager. The Object Manager page appears.

User page layout

1. From the Label column in the table, click User.

2. Go to Details > User Page Layouts or User Profile Page Layouts.  

3. Depending on your client's preference, go to one of the following:

   1. For the admin setup menu, go to Details > User Page Layouts.

   2. For the public profile page, go to Details > User Profile Page Layouts.

4. Click the arrow in the row of the page layout and then select Edit from the drop-down list.

5. Drag the AppDirect_User_c custom fields into the desired page section.

6. Click Save.

Account page layout

1. From the Label column in the table, click Account.

2. Go to Details > Page Layouts.

3. Click the arrow in the row of the page layout and then select Edit from the drop-down list.

4. Drag the following custom fields into the desired page section:

   • Allow_login_c
   • _ID_c
   • _Link_c
   • Company_Type_c
   • Company_Size_c
   • First_User_c

5. Click Save.

Contact page layout

1. From the Label column in the table, click Contact.

2. Go to Details > Page Layouts.

3. Click the arrow in the row of the layout and then click Edit.

4. Drag the following custom fields into the desired page section:

   • _ID_c
   • _Link_c
   • AppDirect_Purchase_ID_c
   • Role_c

5. Click Save.

Opportunity page layout

1. From the Label column in the table, click Opportunity.

2. Go to Details > Page Layouts.

3. Click the arrow in the row of the layout and then click Edit

4. Drag the following custom fields into the desired page section:

   • _ID_c

   • _Link_c

   • AppDirect_Purchase_ID_c

   • Sales_Agent_c

5. Click Save.

Product page layout

1. From the Label column in the table, click Product.

2. Go to Details > Page Layouts.

3. Click the arrow in the row of the layout and then click Edit.

4. Drag the following custom fields into the desired page section:

   • AppDirect_Product_ID__c

   • AppDirect_Edition_ID__c

   • AppDirect_Marketplace_ID__c

   • AppDirect_Link__c

5. Click Save.

Price Book entry page layout

1. From the Label column in the table, click Price Book Entry.

2. Go to Details > Page Layouts.

3. Click the arrow in the row of the layout and then click Edit.

4. Drag the following custom fields into the desired page section:

   • AppDirect_Payment_Plan_ID__c

   • AppDirect_Price_Unit__c

5. Click Save.
