Delete notification templates

Marketplace Managers can delete email, SMS, or off-platform notification templates. You can delete templates in any state (enabled, disabled, or draft) but you cannot delete the Default template for any notification type or method. Template deletion automatically changes the priority of the lower-priority templates for that notification type and method.

To delete notification templates

📝 Note: If the AppDirect logo appears in the upper-left corner of the page, when Manage > Marketplace appears in this topic, click the grid icon > Switch to | Store, instead.

  1. Go to Manage > Marketplace > Settings > Custom UI | Notifications. The Notifications page opens.
  2. Click the gear icon > Edit next to the notification type that contains a notification template that you want to delete. The selected {templateType} page opens.
  3. Click Email, SMS, or Off platform to select the notification delivery method that corresponds with the template you want to delete. The selected notification delivery method's Default template opens.
  4. Click the {notificationMethod} Settings drop-down list, then click Prioritize Templates. The Prioritize Templates dialog opens. It lists all existing templates for the notification type.
  5. Click the gear icon > Delete Template next to the template that you want to delete. A message prompts you to confirm the deletion.
  6. Click Delete. A message confirms the template was removed. The priority of all other templates with a lower priority increases. For example, if you delete the template with a priority of three of five (3/5), the following reprioritization occurs:
    • The template that was priority four of five (4/5) becomes priority three of four (3/4).
    • The template that was priority five of five (5/5) becomes priority four of four (4/4).

For information about prioritizing templates, see Set notification template priority .
