Enable or disable notification delivery methods
Marketplace Managers can enable or disable each of the following delivery methods for each notification type, as appropriate for their marketplace.
- Email—Sends HTML-formatted email messages produced using one Default template and any number of user-defined custom templates that incorporate notification parameters.
- SMS—Sends text-based short message service messages to SMS-enabled mobile devices. This option is disabled by default. Contact your AppDirect technical representative to enable this option.
- Off platform—Sends structured (HTTP) messages with JSON content in the request body to a target URL. This delivery method is human-readable, but primarily designed for integration with other platforms and products. It is only available for v2 notifications.
The delivery method can only be enabled or disabled for templates that are not the Default template. Delivery methods cannot be modified for Default templates.
To enable or disable a delivery method

Go to Manage > Marketplace > Settings > Custom UI | Notifications. The Notifications page opens.

Click the gear icon > Edit next to the notification type for which you want to set a delivery method. The {notificationtype} page opens for the selected notification type. It displays the Email, SMS, and Off platform tabs. Each tab contains a circular colored icon:
- If the icon is green, the delivery method is currently enabled.
- If the icon is gray, the delivery method is currently disabled.

Click the tab whose delivery method you want to enable or disable. You can only modify the delivery method for templates other than the Default template.

Click the {tabName} Options drop-down list, then select the Enable {deliveryType} Notification or Disable {deliveryType} Notification option. For example, if you select the SMS tab, the drop-down list is labeled SMS Options and the option is either Enable Notification or Disable Notification (the opposite of the method's current setting).
The color of the icon on the corresponding tab is updated (green for enabled, gray for disabled).
Caution: The delivery method is immediately disabled or enabled, regardless of whether or not you click Save.

(Optional) Repeat the previous two steps for the other delivery methods for this notification type.

(Optional) Repeat steps 2 through 4 for other notification types.
