Send a test notification for a delivery method
Marketplace Managers can a send test notification for each v2 notification delivery method (email, SMS, and off platform) for any notification type—for example, an email notification test for the Products Purchased notification type. Marketplace Managers can send tests to verify that the priority and conditions that they configured are working correctly for the notification's delivery method. To send a test notification for a notification delivery method
📝 Note: If the AppDirect logo appears in the upper-left corner of the page, when Manage > Marketplace appears in this topic, click the grid icon > Switch to | Store, instead.

Go to Manage > Marketplace > Settings > Custom UI | Notifications. The Notifications page opens.

Click the gear icon > Edit next to the v2 notification type for which you want to send a test notification. The {notification type} page opens, with a tab for each notification delivery method (Email, SMS, Off-platform). Some tabs might be disabled because the delivery method is not enabled for the notification type on your marketplace, as indicated by a gray circle.

Click the tab for the delivery method for which you want to send a test notification.

Click the {Delivery option} settings drop-down list (Email options, SMS options, or Off-platform options), then select Send test notification. The Send test notification {product name} dialog opens.

Enter the email address or phone number to which you want to send the test notification.

(Optional) Edit any of the parameter values to add relevant sample data to the test notification. For example, you can edit the first lines to contain values that match the recipient of the test, as shown in the following table:

Click Send Test. A confirmation message appears.
⚠️ Warning: If you test an email that contains an encrypted pdf attachment with sample data (for example, the Invoice PDF created notification, which requires the user to enter a password to open the attachment), use the following password to open the pdf:Testnotification101.
