View and manage the sent notifications log

The v2 notification system logs all notifications that it sends, and creates a separate log for each notification type. You can view the log for each v2 notification type to locate sent notifications and resolve issues associated with missed or otherwise unreceived notifications.

AppDirect must enable version 2 (v2) notifications for them to appear on your marketplace. Contact your AppDirect technical representative if you have questions.

đź“ť Note: If the AppDirect logo appears in the upper-left corner of the page, when Manage > Marketplace appears in this topic, click the grid icon > Switch to | Store, instead.

tip

To determine if you have v2 notifications enabled on your marketplace, go to the Notifications listing page at Manage > Marketplace > Settings > Custom UI | Notifications. Click Filters, then select Advanced features. If v2 notifications are enabled on your marketplace, the table displays only advanced (v2) notifications and the v2 value is included in the Version for every notification listed.

To view and manage the sent notifications log

  1. Go to Manage > Marketplace > Settings > Custom UI | Notifications. The Notifications page opens.

  2. Locate the v2 notification type whose log you want to view, then do one of the following:

    • Click the gear icon > View sent notifications.
    • Click the gear icon > Edit > {notificationMethod} Options > View sent notifications.

The Sent Notifications Log page opens for the selected notification type.

  3. (Optional) Click Show Conditions to filter the listed notifications using the available conditions.

  4. (Optional) Click the gear icon next to a notification, then select one of the following options:

    • View email content—Displays a replica of the email notification send to the recipient. Note that this version is not an exact copy of the message because different email clients render the content differently.
    • View delivery details —Displays additional details about the notification, the recipient, and his or her company.
    • View notification details—Displays the JSON-format structure of the notification. You can use this to identify the parameters used to construct the notification and their values, and to troubleshoot the filtering used to evaluate and prioritize templates.
    • Resend notification—Sends a duplicate of the corresponding notification. A new entry is logged in the table and the Delivery history column specifies that the message was resent.
