Canceling NCE product subscriptions in the UI

Marketplace Managers can cancel NCE products. However, we recommend that you do not cancel NCE products on your marketplace because we do not support automated refunds on our platform so you would need to process your cancellations manually in order to ensure reconciliation and policy alignment with Microsoft.

Cancellation up to seven days after ordering

NCE product subscription owners have up to seven days (168 hours) after they place an order to cancel their NCE product subscription.

If an NCE product subscription owner cancels their subscription less than seven days after their purchase date, they have the following options:

  • Immediate cancellation
  • Cancel at the end of the term
  • Schedule a cancellation

The seven day grace period starts at the subscription purchase date, regardless of seat changes. The NCE product subscription owner can increase the seat count but cannot decrease the seat count.

Cancellation more than seven days after ordering

If the subscription owner of an NCE product cancels their subscription more than seven days after their purchase date, and they have not configured termination fee product level settings, they have the following option:

  • Cancel at the end of the term

If the subscription owner of an NCE product cancels their subscription more than seven days after their purchase date, and they have configured termination fee product level settings, they have the following option:

  • Cancel before the end of the term and pay a percentage of the remaining cost
