Integrate AppDirect for Salesforce
Most enterprises have a CRM (customer relationship management) tool that acts as a system of record for all customer information such as contact details and a record of all the purchases a customer has made. For many organizations, the CRM is also the default sales platform used by agents to make purchases on behalf of customers.
Some customers would like to use their CRM to purchase marketplace products.
When you integrate Salesforce with , customers can:
- Synchronize customer contact information, reducing duplicate entries and the risk of manual errors.
- Enable agents to initiate and even complete the purchase of marketplace products on behalf of a customer, directly from their CRM.
AppDirect supports multiple integration approaches with Salesforce depending on the customer's specific use cases and requirements.
- Common use cases can often be addressed through our no-code connector, AppDirect for Salesforce, listed on the Salesforce AppExchange.
- More complex use cases may require a custom integration performed by your IT team or our DTS organization.
The remainder of this section outlines how a Salesforce Administrator deploys and configures the AppDirect for Salesforce integration.
The following text describes the steps to take to set up AppDirect for Salesforce. Instructions are designed for Lightning Mode.
