Configure assisted sales

Marketplace Managers can select whether Sales Support Representatives (SSRs) and Resellers are required to receive customer approval before they make a purchase or to agree to certain terms and conditions. Marketplace Managers can also select the terms and conditions, the type of payments, and the payment method for the assisted sales workflow.

To configure assisted sales

  1. Go to Manage > Marketplace > Settings > Settings | Assisted Sales. The Assisted Sales page opens.
  2. Use the following checkboxes and fields to define assisted sales behavior.
Description of options

For Billing and Payments, select one of more of the following settings:

  • Enable CVV in assisted sales purchase flow: Requires a Card Verification Value (CVV) when users make purchases with a credit card. When this checkbox is selected, the CVV field appears as part of the billing details page for assisted sales purchases.
  • Enable off-platform payments in assisted sales purchase flow: When this checkbox is selected, SSRs and Resellers can select off-platform as a payment method for assisted sales purchases.
  • Allows Sales Agents to enter payment details on behalf of a customer: Allows SSRs and Resellers to purchase products on behalf of customers. When this checkbox is selected, the payment details options are available so that the user can enter the payment information such as credit card or bank account details. When it is not selected, the user is unable to complete the assisted sales purchase and must send the payment confirmation to the customer for approval.
  • Complete assisted sales with checkout: Applies to marketplaces that use opportunities. Allows Marketplace Managers, SSRs, and Resellers the option to complete assisted sales with the checkout workflow from the purchase setup page. When this checkbox is not selected, they can only complete assisted sales with opportunities.

Opportunities do not support purchases that include domains or bundles, for more information, see Create opportunities. As a result, when this checkbox is not selected, sales agents cannot complete assisted sales that include domains or bundles.

For Customer Emails, select one or more of the following settings:

  • Send activation email when a Sales Agent creates a customer: When this checkbox is selected, after an SSR or Reseller creates a customer, the customer receives an activation email.
  • Copy sales agents on customer emails: When this checkbox is selected, SSRs and Resellers are copied on all billing-related emails for orders associated with their accounts.

For Assisted Sales Sign-up Terms, enter the following information:

  • Reseller terms and conditions URL: The link to your terms and conditions to register as a Reseller.
  • Leads terms and conditions URL: The link to your terms and conditions to manage leads.

For Reseller Payouts, select one of the following settings:

  • Off-Platform: Payments to Resellers are paid off-platform. When this checkbox is selected, Resellers do not have access to the Get Paid option on the Reseller Dashboard and the Payout Details menu item in the Settings page.
  • Stripe Connect: Stripe Connect must be configured as your transfer method.

For Prices, configure the following:

  • Hide custom and wholesale prices: When this checkbox is selected, the Original Price column is hidden when customers update subscriptions that sales agents purchased on their behalf and for which the agents set a custom sale price (the default original product price does not appear for customers to compare to the custom price that they paid).
  1. Click Save Settings.
