Update Internationalization settings
This topic describes the steps required for Marketplace Managers to update the Internationalization settings in the self-serve marketplaces.
To update Internationalization settings
📝 Note: If the AppDirect logo appears in the upper-left corner of the page, when Manage > Marketplace appears in this topic, click the grid icon > Switch to | Store, instead.
- Go to Manage > Marketplace > Settings > SETTINGS| Internationalization.
The Internationalization page opens. - Select the following from the drop-down list:
- Country of operation and currency - Defines the country of operation and the currency. The country of operation drives the default currency of the marketplace. You are allowed to override the currency based on the requirement.
Note: You can modify the country of operation and currency until they create a product in their marketplace. The setting is restricted to avoid any unintended effects on the existing products.
- Locales - Defines the locale. You can add as many locales as they wish to their marketplace. You can also remove locales and mark a locale as default.
Note: You cannot delete a default locale.
After adding a locale, you must modify the theme to add new localization strings for the associated locale. Otherwise, the theme will not be displayed correctly (the theme will contain the localization keys instead of the translated labels). - Click Save.
The changes are updated.
- Country of operation and currency - Defines the country of operation and the currency. The country of operation drives the default currency of the marketplace. You are allowed to override the currency based on the requirement.
