Configure usage analytics accounts

Marketplace Managers can add third-party analytics tracking IDs that give them access to a wide range of marketplace analytics data, including page views and event tracking data.

With this feature, you can configure tracking for the following web analytics providers:

• Google Analytics v4 with standard ecommerce
• Google Tag Manager
• Universal Analytics, also referred to as Google Analytics v3

After you add tracking IDs, any user who has access to those same analytic accounts can view and manage data in their respective dashboards to meet their own requirements.

Caution

To avoid potential duplication of data tracking, if you use this feature, make sure that the Tracking ID field on the General Settings page (see Configure Google Analytics settings) is empty, or does not match any ID that you enter on the Usage Analytics Accounts page. Although you can enter the same type of account ID on both pages, the Usage Analytics Accounts feature is configured to provide you with more third-party page view and event data than what you can get if you configure a tracking ID on the General Settings page.

To configure usage analytics accounts

📝 Note: If the AppDirect logo appears in the upper-left corner of the page, when Manage > Marketplace appears in this topic, click the grid icon > Switch to | Store, instead.

1. Go to Manage > Marketplace > Settings > Settings | Usage Analytics Account. The Usage Analytics Accounts page opens.
2. (Optional) In the Google Analytics panel, add account information for one or both of the account types listed to receive page and custom event tracking data. The IDs that you enter define where tracking data is sent.
   1. Google Analytics v4 ID
   2. Universal Analytics ID (also referred to as Google Analytics v3)
3. (Optional) In the Google Tag Manager pane, add a Container ID. This adds your Google Tag Manager container to the marketplace and enables you to receive custom event data.
4. Click Save. Your usage analytics account settings are updated.
