Add products to categories

You can assign products to categories, after you create categories.

To add products to categories

šŸ“ Note: If the AppDirect logo appears in the upper-left corner of the page, when Manage > Marketplace appears in this topic, click the grid icon > Switch to | Store, instead.

  1. Click Manage > Marketplace > Products > Catalog | Production Catalog. The Production Catalog appears.
  2. Click the gear icon next to the product you want to add to a category, then select Edit Marketplace Settings. The productName Settings page opens and displays the General tab.
  3. Click the Products tab. The Product settings appear.
  4. Scroll down to the Categories section and then select the category and subcategory to which you want to assign this product, from the drop-down lists.
  5. (Optional) Assign another category and subcategory to the product.
    1. Click Add Category. Another row of category and subcategory drop-down lists appear.
    2. Select the category and subcategory to which you want to assign this product, from the drop-down lists.
    3. Repeat as desired.
  6. Click Save. A message appears that confirms the changes are saved.

Customers can now view the product when they click on the assigned category in the left navigation pane on the marketplaceā€™s All Applications and the Featured Applications pages. You can edit the order that categories and attributes appear in the marketplace. For information about category display order, see Edit category display order.
