Create suggested products

Marketplace Managers can create suggested products that appear on the My Apps page of a company's Company Administrator. These suggested products must be free products or free trial editions and are intended to introduce certain products to Company Administrators that they may find useful and consider purchasing for members of their company. It must be possible to purchase these products with a single click.

Note that if a company has multiple Company Administrators, only the first one to join a company has access to suggested products—even if the product ownership is transferred to another Company Administrator as described in Reassign application ownership.

To create a suggested product

📝 Note: If the AppDirect logo appears in the upper-left corner of the page, when Manage > Marketplace appears in this topic, click the grid icon > Switch to | Store, instead.

1. Go to Manage > Marketplace > Products > Promotions | Promotional Products. The Promotional Products page appears.
2. Click Add Product above the Suggested Product table. The Add Products dialog appears.
3. Enter the product name and rule label in the Description field. For example, Mozy Pro for Servers - Professional Edition for 250 Users. This information is displayed most prominently in the Suggested Products table.
4. Enter the product name in the Choose Product field. A search is performed based on your partial entry. All editions of this product are automatically added to the Product Edition drop-down list in the Rules section.
5. (Optional) Click the Users can bypass Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policies checkbox to allow customers to not have to accept the product’s terms of service and privacy policy when they are redirected to the checkout flow.
6. Select an edition from the Product Edition drop-down list.
7. Click Save. The suggested product is created and is listed in the Suggested Products table. It is also added to the My Apps page of each new marketplace user. Suggested products are not added to the My Apps page of existing users.
