Edit invoice template segments
You can edit invoices templates that you previously associated with segments, with the exception of templates whose status is Default on the Invoice Templates listing page. For default templates you can make a copy of a default template and edit the copy to assign segments to it.
To edit invoice template segments
📝 Note: This documentation page may refer to Manage > Marketplace in navigation steps. If the Manage option is not available in your navigation, click the grid icon on the top-left corner of your header and click Marketplace.
- Go to Manage > Marketplace > Settings > Billing Settings |Invoice templates. The Invoice Templates listing page opens.
- In the table, click the row that contains the template that you want to edit. The template assignment page opens.
- Next to the Template assignment pane title, click Edit. Do not click Edit Template in the pane that contains the template name.
- Do any of the following:
- (Optional) Edit the template name.
- (Optional) Add or remove segments as needed. For more information, see Create segmented invoice templates for more information.
- Click Save. The Change Customer Assignments dialog opens. It lists the segments that you added and those that you removed. If some of the segments that you added are already in use by other active templates, after you save and publish this template, the customers in those segments receive the new template.
- Click Confirm Changes. The segment changes are savedThe changes affect all future invoices that are generated.
