Approve free trial extension

After an end user requests a free trial extension, as a vendor or developer you can approve the request from the subscriptions list page.

To approve free trial extension as a vendor or developer

📝 Note: If the AppDirect logo appears in the upper-left corner of the page, then click the grid icon > Switch to | Distribution, instead of Manage > Billing and Distribution, or Manage > Developer.

  1. Go to Manage > Billing and Distribution > Bills. The subscription list page appears by default.
  2. Click the subscription which contains the free trial extension request. The order's details dialog opens.
  3. Click Extend Free Trial. The Extend Free Trial dialog opens.
  4. Select the new end date for the free trial using the date picker. This determines how long the trial will be extended.
  5. Click Submit and then click Extend Free Trial to confirm. The request will be sent to the vendor system for processing.
  6. Go to Manage > Marketplace > Dashboard > EVENTS | Event Logs. The Event Logs page opens.
  7. Scroll to the Pending Events table, then click Resolve next to the event. The Resolve Event dialog opens and describes the issue in general terms.
  8. Select Event Succeeded under Even Result and then click Save. The free trial is successfully extended, and the marketplace updates both the Free Trial End Date and the Billing  Start Date, which is recalculated based on the new free trial period.
