Cancel subscriptions

You can cancel subscriptions (if contract terms permit it) effective at the end of the next billing cycle or today.

The current subscription contract terms are either the default product contract terms when the customers bought the products or last changed their subscription, or were customized during assisted sales with the Opportunities feature when the customers bought the products.

The Delayed Cancellation feature allows you to schedule a cancellation to be effective on a future date. If you require the Delayed Cancellation feature, contact your AppDirect technical representative.

To cancel subscriptions

  1. Go to Account > Applications. The Manage Apps page opens and displays a list of applications to which your company is subscribed.

    Caution: If a product was created as a single-user product, users can only purchase it directly from the marketplace and it is not listed in the Applications list on any of the pages where a Company Administrator can assign applications. Additionally, a Company Administrator cannot cancel a single-user product subscription on behalf of a user. To cancel a single-user product, the user who purchased it goes to their MyApps page, clicks the gear icon, then clicks Cancel subscription.

  2. Complete one of the following:

    • For a suspended order, click Cancel Subscription.
    • For an active order, click Manage > Cancel Subscription.

    The Cancel Subscription dialog appears. The options in the dialog box depend on the following conditions:

  3. Select one of the following cancellation options:

    • At the end of the minimal contract period for this subscription
    • At the end of the current billing period for this subscription
    • {today'sDate} Immediately (today)
    • A future date—If the Delayed Cancellation feature is turned on, a date-picker field appears from which you can select a future provisioning date for the cancellation.
      If the subscription contains a contract, you can select only dates from within the contract period. For example, if the contract is from the 15 to the 25, you can select only the days between 15 and 25 (inclusive).
  4. Select a cancellation option, then click Continue.

  5. Read the cancellation terms in the dialog, then click Yes. Depending on the cancellation option you selected, the following occurs.

    • At the end of the current billing period for this subscription—A message confirms that your request to cancel the application was sent and the Manage Apps table displays the future Cancellation Date.
    • {today'sDate} Immediately (today)—A message confirms the subscription is canceled and the Manage Apps table no longer displays the application.
    • A future date—A message confirms that your request to cancel the application was sent and the Manage Apps table displays the future Cancellation Date.
