Import applications
If your organization already owns and uses applications that were not purchased through your marketplace, you can import them into your company account when importing is supported by both the marketplace and the application. After they are imported, you can manage them and assign them to users in the same manner as you would for applications purchased through the marketplace. Users can access these imported applications using tiles on their MyApps page.
For this feature to be available, AppDirect must enable it for your company.
To import an application
-
Go to Manage > Account, then click Applications. The list of featured applications opens.
-
Click Import Applications.
-
In the search field, enter the name (or partial name) of the application you want to import, then click Enter on your keyboard. The search results page displays all available applications.
-
Find the application you want to import on the page, and click the corresponding Add button. The Import Application page opens.
If you don't find the application you want, click Create Application. In the dialog box that appears, choose SAML 2.0 or Bookmark, and click Create.
-
In the Number of Seats field, enter the maximum number of seats or licenses you want to assign for the application. The number of seats should align with the actual number of seats you have purchased from the respective ISV.
-
Enter the information requested in the Authentication pane. After you enter the requested information, a Generate Configuration button appears.
-
Click Generate Configuration. A list of instructions opens. The instructions vary depending on the type of application, the authentication type used, and other factors.
-
Complete the procedures outlined in the list of instructions, then click Done when all tasks are completed.
-
Click one of the following options:
- Finish Import—The application is imported, but there are no users assigned to it until you manually assign them (see Assign applications to users to learn how).
- Assign Users—The application is imported and you are redirected to the Assign Users to Apps page, where you can assign users to the selected application.
