Copy templates

note

Document Builder can support quote and invoice templates. However, even if Document Builder is enabled and accessible through the user interface, additional one-time configuration might be required.
Go to Manage > Marketplace > Settings.
- If DOCUMENT BUILDER appears in the left menu, see Document Builder prerequisites to confirm whether it is configured for invoice templates, quote templates, both, or neither.
- If DOCUMENT BUILDER does not appear in the left menu, either Contact your AppDirect technical representative to request it, or see Invoice templates and Quote templates to create and manage templates instead.

Marketplace Managers can copy templates, and create a new template from the copy.

To copy templates

  1. Go to Manage > Marketplace > Settings > DOCUMENT BUILDER | Manage Templates. The Invoice templates list page opens.
  2. From the Select template type drop-down list, select the template type.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • From the available list of templates, choose the template you want to copy, click the gear icon > Copy template.
    • Click the template, template detail page appears.
      • Click the gear icon > Copy template.
        The Copy template dialog appears.
  4. (Optional) In the Name field, change the default name for the template copy. The name must be unique among templates tagged with the same language.
  5. Select the language for the new template.
  6. Click Create Copy.
  7. (Optional) Select Publish template. After you save the copy, it becomes the active template for this language (the AppDirect platformreferences this template when it generates PDF invoices) and the currently active template status changes to Not active.
