Enable the reviews aggregator

❗ Important: To use this feature, your marketplace must be configured with a compatible storefront theme, such as the Plaza theme. The Storefront Builder is currently in Early Availability status. Features in Early Availability status are only available in production to a limited number of customers based on fit with specific use cases. If you would like to use the Reviews Aggregator described here during the Early Availability phase, contact your AppDirect technical representative.

The AppDirect Reviews Aggregator uses external partners to generate reviews on your product profile pages. External reviews give your customers more information to help them choose products that meet their needs.

Currently, the feature supports the following two partners:

• G2—Enables you to add reviews to your products that were written by users who reviewed the same products on G2. These reviews are added to reviews that users write on your marketplace with either Yotpo, or the marketplace’s review feature. For more information, see Enable and approve reviews and questions.
• Yotpo—Enables your customers to write reviews on your product profile pages.

Users with the Marketplace Manager role can manage reviews that are aggregated from G2 and Yotpo, but first, you need to do the following:

• Work with to make the Reviews Aggregator available to you in the network catalog. This first step allows you to add the application to your marketplace’s staging catalog.

• Add the Reviews Aggregator application from the staging catalog to your marketplace’s production catalog. This enables you to purchase the application.

• Set the application’s marketplace visibility to not visible, to hide the Reviews Aggregator application in the production catalog. This prevents users who are not Marketplace Manager from purchasing the application.

• Purchase the application so that you can start managing product reviews that are generated in G2 and YotPo.

The following procedures describe detailed steps to meet those requirements.

📝 Note: If the AppDirect logo appears in the upper-left corner of the page, when Manage > Marketplace appears in this topic, click the grid icon > Switch to | Store, instead.

To gain access to the Reviews Aggregator in the network catalog

1. Contact your technical representative to have the Reviews Aggregator application added to the network catalog (so that you can add it to your staging catalog).

2. After this step is complete, proceed to the next section in this topic.

To add the Reviews Aggregator to your production catalog

1. Go to Manage > Marketplace > Products > Catalog | Staging Catalog.

2. Click Add Network Product.

3. Search for the Reviews Aggregator application.

4. Click the Add To Marketplace button.

5. Follow the steps described in the Publish products topic.

6. After the product is published, proceed to the next section in this topic.

To hide the Reviews Aggregator

1. Go to Manage > Marketplace > Products > Catalog | Production Catalog

2. Search for the Reviews Aggregator application.

3. In the row that contains the Reviews Aggregator application, click the Gear icon, then select Edit Marketplace Settings. The Reviews Aggregator Settings page opens.

4. Clear the Visible on network setting to prevent users from purchasing the application. Marketplace Managers can still see and purchase the application after you disable network visibility.

5. Click Save. The application is no longer visible on the network.

To purchase the Reviews Aggregator for your marketplace

1. Go to Manage > Marketplace > Products > Catalog | Production Catalog.

2. Search for the Reviews Aggregator application.

3. Follow the steps in the user interface to purchase the application. After the purchase is complete, the Go To MyApps button appears.

4. Click Go To MyApps. Your MyApps page opens. It may take a few moments for the Reviews Aggregator tile to appear on the page.
