Enable and manage Yotpo reviews

Important: To use this feature, your marketplace must be configured with a compatible storefront theme, such as the Plaza theme. The Storefront Builder is currently in Early Availability status. Features in Early Availability status are only available in production to a limited number of customers based on fit with specific use cases. If you would like to use the Reviews Aggregator described here during the Early Availability phase, contact your AppDirect technical representative.

Prerequisites

  • Set up a Yotpo account and have your Yotpo access token available.
  • Complete the steps described in the Set up Yotpo credentials topic before you complete this procedure.

Before Yotpo reviews can be added to your marketplace product profile pages, you need to configure how they're collected, and you need to sync products with Yotpo in the Reviews Aggregator user interface.

Various options are available that determine how Yotpo reviews are added. For example, you can collect reviews directly from the confirmation email after a user purchases a product. Or you can collect reviews on the product profile page. See documentation in the Yotpo support center for more information about available options.

📝 Note: You should sync all of your products to Yotpo. For products that you don’t sync, reviews are added using the standard marketplace reviews feature, for more information, see Enable and approve reviews and questions. After you enable Yotpo reviews, all reviews that were created previously continue to appear on the product profile page.

To sync marketplace products with Yotpo in the Reviews Aggregator

📝 Note: If the AppDirect logo appears in the upper-left corner of the page, when Manage > Marketplace appears in this topic, click the grid icon > Switch to | Store, instead.

  1. Go to Manage > Marketplace > MyApps, then click the Reviews Aggregator tile. The Review Syndicator page opens.

  2. Click the Yotpo tab if you have more than one provider configured.

  3. Add a product name in the Product Name field, then add its product ID in the corresponding field. This is the marketplace’s UUID for the product. To get a product’s UUID, run a Marketplace Products report. The report includes the UUID for every product listed in the report. For more information, See Create customized reports.

    💡 Tip: If you previously added products, you can filter the products that are displayed by their status (ready, starting, running, stopping, failed, deleted). If you previously mapped products in G2, they’re automatically added to the Yotpo tab.

  4. Click Add. The application is added to the list of products. If you entered the correct information, the displayed status is Ready. This means that you can synchronize the product in the Reviews Aggregator with the product in the marketplace, so that reviews can be added. Next to the Ready status indicator, the Force Sync and Delete options appear. You can proceed with the next step, or delay the synchronization for a later time.

  5. Click Force Sync. A message notifies you that the process has started successfully and the status changes to Starting (syncing has started). When the processing is complete, the status changes to Running (syncing is complete).

    📝 Note: Although synchronization occurs automatically, you can click Force Sync to synchronize with Yotpo to make sure that the latest reviews appear on product profiles. There might be a short delay before synched reviews appear on the marketplace.

  6. (Optional) Click Start All to start the synchronization of all products on the page. The status for every product changes to Running.

  7. (Optional) Click Delete to delete a product from Yotpo. A confirmation dialog warns you that if you proceed, all fetched reviews and associations with providers will also be deleted. Click Confirm to proceed. The product is deleted from Yotpo.

    Caution: If you delete a product in Yotpo, it is also deleted in G2.
