Enable and approve reviews and questions

This feature enables users to write simple reviews about your products directly on your marketplace product profile pages. Several options are available to control how customer-generated content is added to product profiles.

To enable reviews and questions on product profiles

📝 Note: If the AppDirect logo appears in the upper-left corner of the page, when Manage > Marketplace appears in this topic, click the grid icon > Switch to | Store, instead.

  1. Go to Manage > Marketplace > Settings >Settings| Marketplace Functionality, then scroll to the Reviews & Questions section.
  2. Enter the minimum number of ratings that must be received before a review or question appears on the product's profile page.
  3. (Optional) Click the Purchase Required checkbox to require that customers purchase the product before submitting a review.
  4. (Optional) Click the Questions checkbox to hide the Questions tab on all products' profile pages.
  5. (Optional) Click the User Content checkbox to require that a Marketplace Manager approve all user-generated content before publishing it on a product's profile page. User content includes questions, ratings, and reviews. After this feature is enabled, a message notifies the Marketplace Manager that customer-created content requires approval, at Manage > Marketplace > Dashboard > Home | Overview.
  6. Click the link in the message to open the Reviews & Questions page, then approve or deny each individual pending post, or approve all pending posts. Approved posts appear on the corresponding product profile page.
  7. Click Save Settings.

📝 Note: If your marketplace uses a compatible Storefront theme, a Reviews Aggregator option is available that enables you to add external reviews to your products. The Reviews Aggregator needs to be enabled by AppDirect for your marketplace. Contact your AppDirect representative or see Enable the Reviews Aggregator for more information.
