Configure search engine optimization
You can influence how search engines index and respond to your marketplace, including how they summarize it and how they rank it when they return their responses to search queries, by configuring search engine optimization (SEO) settings.
Search engines use a website’s meta description to determine its value and purpose in site listings. They use its meta keywords to sort the returned URLs in their responses to queries.
Search engine webcrawlers use a website’s robots.txt
file to learn which parts of a site should be indexed, and which parts should not.
The following procedure describes configuration settings that determine how search engines interpret your marketplace website.
