User synchronization limitations
For partners that use their own, or an external identity provider (IdP), user data will synchronize but there is reduced functionality. If a user is created in the same company, using the same email address, then we associate them on the marketplace. Users that are synced into the marketplace, and that are not associated with existing users on the marketplace, do not receive an email inviting them to the marketplace.
User Sync does not synchronize Azure product information onto the marketplace.
A user is not synced if:
- They do not have a license that was purchased through the marketplace
- The user company has multiple subscriptions with the same license type
- The user does not have a valid Microsoft username
- The user owns an Azure subscription
