Configure off-platform template content
This topic describes how to configure an off-platform notification template.
Off-platform notifications automatically include all of the parameters available for a given notification type. To see the exact content of the off-platform notification, send a test notification. The only step to configure this notification type is to associate a destination URL with the template.
- You can edit Default off-platform templates. The Target URL field in the Default template requires an entry before it can generate a notification. *Off-platform templates do not have any user-configurable content. Instead, the content is determined by the notification type's defined parameters. The recipient of an off-platform notification is typically an HTTP API service on a remote computer server that is built to handle off-platform requests with a body structure determined by the notification type schema. An application or platform on the remote computer (or its network) uses this content to integrate marketplace notifications with another system that processes or manages the data sent in the notification.

📝 Note: If the AppDirect logo appears in the upper-left corner of the page, when Manage > Marketplace appears in this topic, click the grid icon > Switch to | Store, instead.
- Go to Manage > Marketplace > Settings > Custom UI | Notifications. The Notifications page opens.
- Click the gear icon > Edit next to the v2 notification type for which you want to configure an off-platform destination URL. The Email tab opens by default and displays its Default email template for the selected notification type.
- Click the Off platform tab. The Default off platform template opens.
- (Optional) To edit another (non-default) off-platform template, select another template from the unlabeled template drop-down list. The selected template appears.
- (Optional) Select another template language from the Languages drop-down list if you want to edit the selected template in another language
- In the Target URL field, enter the fully qualified URL to which to send the off-platform notification.
- Click Save. A confirmation message appears.
If you do not yet have a server that can receive off-platform notifications, you can use any online third-party webhook test receiver to conduct your test. You must replace the test URL with the correct URL for your server after it is configured.
