Set custom attributes
The following procedure describes a user (typically an end user or a sales agent) when they make an entry in a custom attribute field or checkbox. To edit the actual properties of the field or checkbox, see Edit and delete custom attribute fields.
To set a custom attribute
š Note: If the AppDirect logo appears in the upper-left corner of the page, when Manage > Marketplace appears in this topic, click the grid icon > Switch to | Store, instead.

Go to one of the following locations depending on the location of the custom field and your user role (not all marketplaces include the Reseller and Reseller Manager roles):

Checkout
- Additional Information page in the purchase flow
- Confirm Order page in the purchase flow

Company details page
- Manage > Marketplace > Dashboard > HOME | Companies > company name> Edit

Company Signup dialog
- Manage > Marketplace > Dashboard > Create New Company

Order details page
- Manage > Marketplace > Dashboard > Billing | Orders > orderID

My Profile page
- user name > My Profile

User details page
- Manage > Marketplace > Dashboard>HOME | Users > user name> Edit

My Profile page
- user name > My Company

User Signup
- Account activation page that opens when the link in the invitation email is clicked. The email is sent after a user clicks Sign Up in the marketplaceās top navigation pane.

Opportunity details
- Manage > Marketplace > Opportunities
The selected page opens and includes one or more of the following:
- Manage > Marketplace > Opportunities

Show More link (on the User details page). Click this link to display custom attributes.

Edit Attributes button (if no value has been previously set)

A custom attribute field with a previously set value

A custom attribute checkbox
Note: If the Edit Attributes button, field, or checkbox does not appear, the current user does not have edit permissions for this custom attribute.
The remaining steps assume an order custom attribute field named Quote ID without a value set.

Click Edit, or Edit Attribute, depending on what appears on the page. One or more custom attributes fields appear.

Edit the information in the custom attribute field that you want to modify, then click Save. A message confirms that the custom attribute was saved.
You can use the GET method for the Subscription API to retrieve the value of this order custom attribute.
