Submit opportunities for approval

📝 Note: If the AppDirect logo appears in the upper-left corner of the page, when Manage > Marketplace appears in this topic, click the grid icon > Switch to | Store, instead.

The Opportunities feature is enabled when a New Lead or Purchase button appears in the upper-right corner of the page at Manage > Marketplace > Orders.

Important: Only AppDirect can enable the Opportunities feature. Contact your AppDirect technical representative to request it.

Sales Support Representatives (SSRs) and Resellers can submit opportunities to managers for approval. The opportunity statuses change from Open to Pending Review, and Marketplace Managers and Reseller Managers edit and finalize them (just as they can when they are in Open status), as follows:

  • Marketplace Managers edit and finalize opportunities that SSRs submit.
  • Marketplace Managers and Reseller Managers (with the proper permission) edit and finalize opportunities that Resellers submit.

Users cannot revert opportunities from Pending Review to Open status.

Marketplace Managers might also give SSSRs, Resellers and Reseller Managers the option to finalize opportunities (see Configure opportunity role settings). If they do, the Submit for Approval and Finalize buttons appear on opportunities for SSRs and Resellers.

The following procedure is for SSRs.

To submit opportunities for approval

  1. Go to one of the following locations:
    • Manage > Marketplace > Opportunities. All opportunities that you have permission to view appear.
    • Manage > Companies > Company name > Billing. All opportunities that were created for the selected company appear.
  2. Select an opportunity that is in Open status.
  3. Click Submit for Approval. The status changes to Pending Review, and the SSR can no longer edit the opportunity.
