Upload images in bulk

As a Marketplace Manager you can use Product Uploader to bulk upload images for various products. You can add the images for:

• Overview of the product - If an image for the overview already exists, the new image will replace the existing one.
• Profile logo - If an image for the profile logo already exists, the new image will replace the existing one.
• Listing logo - If an image for the listing logo already exists, the new image will replace the existing one.
• Feature - If an image for the feature already exists, the new image will replace the existing one.
• Screenshots - If an image for the screen shot already exists, the new image will be added along with the existing one. So, multiple screenshots can be added for a product.

Prerequisites

You must have the images that you need to update or add.

To bulk upload images using the Product Uploader

📝 Note: If the AppDirect logo appears in the upper-left corner of the page, when Manage > Marketplace appears in this topic, click the grid icon > Switch to | Store, instead.

1. Go to Manage > Marketplace > Products > CATALOG | Product Uploader.

2. Click Download Catalog.

3. From the Select a section to update drop-down, select Product Images Template , and then click Download
   A new entry is created in the Activity Log indicating the progress of the download.

4. In the Activity Log, select the Product Images Template .csv file and click the down arrow to expand the selected line. Click the download icon corresponding to the file option you want to download. The options are:

   • Download the file with products that were successfully processed
   • Download the error file

5. In the downloaded .csv file:

   1. Select the required Product Reference IDs.

   2. Update the locale for which you want the images to be updated.

   3. Verify the product name for which you are uploading the images.

   4. Update the Image type based on the type of images you want to add for the product. Example Overview, Profile logo, Listing logo, Feature, or Screenshot.

   5. Add the image names of the images you want to add or update.

   6. Save the template file.

   📝 Note: The image identifier column in the CSV file, helps you identify the image when there are multiple images for a product. Example, if a product has multiple features, the Product Reference IDs, locale, product name, and image type can be the same, but the image identifier is different for each image.

6. Create a folder on your local machine, add the saved CSV file and the images, and zip the folder.

7. Go to Product Uploader and click Update Products.

8. From the Select a section to update drop-down select Product Images.

9. Upload your .zip file by either dragging and dropping the file in the provided space or click the link in the provided space and select the required file.

   

10. Click Update.
    A new entry is created in the Activity Log indicating the progress of the images update.
