Leads

Leads are records of potential customers who are interested in your company's products.

Marketplace Managers can configure product profiles to gather sales leads from interested potential customers, or create records of leads manually. Marketplace Managers, Resellers (if enabled on your marketplace), and Sales Support Representatives (SSRs) can then view and manage these sales leads on the Leads page at Manage > Marketplace > Dashboard > Home | Leads.

Depending on your marketplace configuration, potential customers can click the Contact Us button on a product or on a company profile to express an interest in a product by submitting their contact information.

Marketplace Managers can also manually create leads.

Marketplace Managers can assign leads to Sales Support Representatives (SSRs) and Resellers, who can then convert leads to customers.

Marketplace Managers can disqualify leads. After Marketplace Managers disqualify leads, they can still view them, but they can no longer edit them.

Marketplace Managers can perform any action on a lead throughout the lead’s lifecycle, regardless of who is assigned to that lead. All other users can perform actions only on leads that are assigned to them. Any user who has performed an action on a lead (but no longer owns it) can view the lead throughout its lifecycle.

Marketplace Managers can:

  • Manually create leads
  • Assign leads to SSRs and Resellers
  • View, edit, and manage leads
  • Associate leads with companies
  • Convert leads to customers
  • Disqualify leads
