View and manage leads

This topic describes the details contained in leads, and how to edit and assign leads from the lead's details page. Depending on the status of the lead, the lead's details page can also contain a Convert to Customer button, which you can use to create a new customer company. For more details, see Convert leads to customers.

To view and manage leads

đź“ť Note: If the AppDirect logo appears in the upper-left corner of the page, when Manage > Marketplace appears in this topic, click the grid icon > Switch to | Store, instead.

  1. Go to Manage > Marketplace > Dashboard > Home | Leads. The Leads page opens and displays the Pending Leads and Accepted Leads tables. Note the following about the tables:
    • Both tables contain a Show Filters button that you can use to filter entries by start and end date.
    • Both tables contain a Download CSV button that generates a report that includes lead information.
    • The downloaded CSV can contain only a maximum of 50 records.
    • Both tables contain a Search field that you can use to locate specific entries.
    • Both tables contain sortable Created and Company columns and fixed User, Source, Recipient, and Status columns.
  2. Click any row in either table. The selected lead's details page opens and displays the following information about the lead:
    • Status—Either Submitted, Assigned, Converted, or Disqualified.
    • Associated user name and his or her email address.
    • Source of the lead, any one of the following:
      • Source: {resellerProfileName}—Lead generated from a reseller profile. For example, Source: GunnComm Resellers (reseller profiles typically use the company name as the profile name).
      • Source: {productProfileName}—Lead generated from a product profile. For example, Source: GunnComm Parent App.
      • Source: {ReferralUserName}—Lead generated by a Referral user. For example, Source: Roberto Pistola.
      • Company Source: {companyName}—Lead generated manually by a reseller or a developer company. The label changes from Source to Company Source and includes the company name. For example, Company Source: GunnComm Resellers.
      • Company Source: {marketplaceName}—Lead generated manually by a Marketplace Manager or Reseller Manager. For example, Company Source: TeleMax App Market.
      • Company Source: {marketplaceName} Sales—Lead generated manually by a Sales Support Representative (SSR). For example, Company Source: TeleMax App MarketSales.
    • Assigned to—The Reseller, Sales Support Representative (SSR), Developer, or reseller company to whom the lead is assigned.
    • (Optional) Custom attribute fields or checkboxes. Custom attribute fields can appear on a lead's details page as described in Create custom attributes.
  3. (Optional) For leads in the Submitted state, click Edit in the User Details pane. This pane displays details that the lead (user) entered or that were entered by another user when they created this record of the lead. The Edit Lead page opens. Add or edit any existing entries, then click Save. The lead updates. Note that if you edit details for an existing user or company account that is associated with a lead, the association is removed.
  4. For leads in the Assigned or Submitted state, select one of the following options:
    • Manage > Assign — The Assign a Lead dialog appears. Select one of the following options:
      • Assign lead to all the sales support representatives — Transfers the ownership of the lead to all users assigned the Sales Support role in your organization. SSRs can edit assigned leads by adding notes or editing contact information of leads that are in any state other than Converted or Disqualified.
      • Assign lead to a company — Assign Lead To appears. Enter the reseller company name to which you want to transfer the ownership of the lead. All members of the specified reseller company can manage the lead. Resellers can edit assigned leads by adding notes or editing contact information of leads that are in any state other than Converted, Deleted, or Disqualified.
    • Manage > Disqualify — The lead is deactivated. It remains in the Accepted Leads table on the Leads page, but cannot be otherwise managed.
    • Manage > Associate Company — Associates the lead with an existing company account, so that another account is not created for the same company.
  5. (Optional) For leads in the Converted state, select Manage > Manage Company. The company's details page opens. You can view company details on the page or click Manage Company and perform any of the company management options on the drop-down list. For more information, see [Companies overview].
