Manage domains

Company Administrators can view and manage domains. For information about selling domains in the marketplace see Sell domains.

In order for users to purchase a domain with a product on the marketplace, the marketplace must contain a domain provider and the product must be set up correctly for combined purchase. Company administrators can add a domain to a product as described in Add a domain to a product.

The following procedure describes how to manage:

  • Canceling a domain—Cancel a subscription to a domain that was purchased through the marketplace. After you cancel a domain the subscription will not automatically renew.
  • Unlinking a domain—Remove the link between a domain and the product associated with it. The subscription to the product and the domain remains. The subscription to the domain will automatically renew. You unlink a domain from a product when you want to associate a different domain with the product.
  • Deleting a domain—You can only delete external domains, that is domains that were purchased outside the marketplace.

A domain that was purchased outside the marketplace may be added to a product during the combined purchase flow. A Company Administrator can add an external domain, that they own, to a product on their marketplace. At AppDirect we refer to domains that were purchased outside the marketplace as external domains.

On the Manage Domains page, external domains display the owner and linked apps.
