Edit components

This topic describes the generic process of component editing. The options available vary widely by component and page, and depend on how the theme developer built the theme. In general, there are several main tasks that you can perform when you edit components:

• Change the appearance of product tiles: display large images or a combination of images and text
• Select which products appear in certain components such as sliders
• Change the number of columns on a page for lists or text elements
• Hide or show certain list navigation elements such as carets or ellipses
• Change certain button, label, and heading text

To edit a component

📝 Note: If the AppDirect logo appears in the upper-left corner of the page, when Manage > Marketplace appears in this topic, click the grid icon > Switch to | Store, instead.

1. Go to Manage > Marketplace > Theme Manager.
2. In the My Themes list, locate your theme and click Customize.
3. From the drop-down menu at the top left (it displays Home Page by default), select the theme page.
4. In the Customize pane, click Components. The component list opens.
5. Click the component that you want to edit. The editable component details appear in the left pane. The available options depend on the selected page and component.
6. Edit the component as required. When you change settings in the left pane, the changes are automatically saved and appear in the preview pane.
