Associate products with segments

Marketplace Managers can associate products with segments to target them to specific companies. Only users from companies within those segments can purchase the products. If users are a member of more than one company, they can view and purchase the product as a member of any of those companies.

AppDirect must enable segments on your marketplace. Contact your AppDirect technical representative for more information.

To associate a product with a segment

📝 Note: If the AppDirect logo appears in the upper-left corner of the page, when Manage > Marketplace appears in this topic, click the grid icon > Switch to | Store, instead.

1. Go to Manage > Marketplace > Products > Catalog | Production Catalog. The Production Catalog opens, with a list of products currently included in your production catalog.
2. In the row that contains the name of the product you want to associate with a segment, click the gear icon, then select Edit Marketplace Settings from the drop-down list. The product settings page opens.
3. Click the Product tab, then scroll to the Segments section of the page. Available segment groups appear in the left pane, and each group's associated segments appear in the right pane.
4. In the left pane, select the segment folder with which you want to associate the product, then select segments in the right pane.
5. Click Save.

   📝 Note: By default, a product visibility setting is enabled so that anonymous users who are not logged in to your marketplace can view (but not purchase) products that are associated with segments. To disable this setting so that only users who are logged in can view products associated with a segment. For more information, see Edit segmented product visibility.
