Translate text and labels
The marketplace is able to support many different languages. You can change the language used in your marketplace, but the means of doing so depends on the pages you want to change.
- To display a language on your storefront pages, you must include it in the theme. Create a theme that uses the language, and publish it as your storefront theme. For more information, see Customize the storefront, particularly Create theme translations.
- To display a language on other marketplace pages that end users do not see, contact your AppDirect technical representative to ask about making that language available on your marketplace.
When one or more additional languages are enabled for a marketplace, the Marketplace Manager can change the marketplace language by selecting a new language from the menu at the very bottom of the marketplace page. This change affects the entire marketplace.
Changing specific labels
You can create localizations for specific labels by using keys, or by specifying each such label individually. The marketplace offers two different methods for achieving this:
- Translations—A page where you can create keys and provide translations for each of them. For more information, see Create and manage translation keys.
- Customize Translations—A page where you can download and upload CSV files with translations. For more information, see Customize translations.
Your marketplace shows the Translations option by default. To use the Customize Translations feature instead, contact your AppDirect technical representative to have it enabled for your marketplace.
