Create merchandising badges

The following procedure describes how Marketplace Managers can create merchandising badges to promote products on their marketplace.

To create a badge

đź“ť Note: If the AppDirect logo appears in the upper-left corner of the page, when Manage > Marketplace appears in this topic, click the grid icon > Switch to | Store, instead.

  1. Go to Marketplace > Manage > Products > Promotions | Merchandising Options. The Merchandising Options page appears.
  2. Click Add Badge in the Badges section. The Add Badge dialog appears.
  3. Enter the following information in the corresponding field:
    • Badge Name—Text that appears in the Edit Marketplace Settings > productName Settings page under the Product | Merchandising Options section, so that you can identify the badge and add it to a product.
    • Badge Image—Displays the JPG or PNG image file that appears in various locations, such as under the product’s logo tile in search results, the product’s profile page, and so on. After you add the image, the badge appears in the Product Preview section of the dialog.
  4. Click Save. The badge is created, and the badge details appear in the table on the Merchandising Options page.
  5. (Optional) Click the gear icon in the row of the badge and select one of the following options:
    • Edit Badge—The Edit Badge dialog appears. You can update existing fields by repeating step 3. Click Save after you finish editing your badge.
    • Delete Badge—The Delete Badge dialog appears. Click Delete to delete the badge.

To associate badges with products, complete the procedure described in Display badges on products.
