Push products to child marketplaces

Network Catalog Managers can push approved network catalog products to immediate child marketplaces without developer approval or Marketplace Manager involvement. You can distribute products to child marketplaces without first adding each product to the local marketplace catalog.

Previously, a product had to be published to the local network marketplace staging catalog before it could be distributed to child marketplaces, even when there was no plan to transact on the local marketplace.

📝 Note: Network Catalog Manager is available only to customers with a Network edition marketplace. Some capabilities are further restricted to AppDirect base partner marketplaces.

❗ Important: Network Catalog Managers cannot publish products on their own marketplace. Distributed products can be pushed to immediate child marketplaces without adding them to the local marketplace.

Distribution scope

• Push is limited to immediate child marketplaces only. You cannot push products to grandchild marketplaces.
• Developers receive an informational notification when their product is distributed.
• Superusers retain global distribution capability.

Access distribution workflows

The Manage > Network > Products page separates outbound and inbound distribution workflows in the left navigation pane:

Push products to child marketplaces

Prerequisites

• The user holds the Network Catalog Manager role.
• NCM approval authority is enabled for your marketplace.

To push a product to a child marketplace

1. Go to Manage > Network > Products, then select Push Products in the left navigation pane.

2. (Optional) Use the search field to locate a marketplace by name.

3. (Optional) Apply status filters to narrow the list:

   Filter	Description
   Native	Products native to the marketplace
   Customized	Products with local customizations
   Distributed	Products distributed from the network catalog

4. Review the inline status indicators for each marketplace.

5. Select the product and the immediate child marketplace to receive the distribution.

6. Push the product to the selected child marketplace.

The product is added to the staging catalog of the immediate child marketplace without requiring developer or Marketplace Manager approval.
