important

Only AppDirect can enable this capability. Contact your AppDirect technical representative to request it.

Network Catalog Managers approve distribution requests for syndicated products without Superuser involvement. This includes developer submissions to the network catalog.

Previously, Superusers approved developer submissions to the network catalog.

📝 Note: Network Catalog Manager is available only to customers with a Network edition marketplace. Some capabilities are further restricted to AppDirect base partner marketplaces.

Approve distribution requests

Prerequisites

  • The user holds the Network Catalog Manager role.

To approve a distribution request

  1. Go to Manage > Network > Products, then select Pending Distribution Requests in the left navigation pane.
  2. Review the list of distribution requests awaiting action.
  3. Select a request to view its details.
  4. Approve or deny the request as appropriate.

Outcomes by request type

Approval outcomes differ by request type:

  • Developer submission to the network catalog—The product is published on the developer's marketplace. The product is added to the network catalog and appears under Manage > Network > Products. It is not added to a marketplace staging catalog. The developer must manually configure Visible on Network in the product's marketplace settings on their marketplace. See Edit product marketplace settings. From there, you can push products to child marketplaces or add products to child marketplaces as needed.
  • Marketplace Manager request to add a network product—The requesting Marketplace Manager can add the product to their staging catalog using Add to Staging on the Add from Network Catalog page. See Add network products to the staging catalog.
