Assign applications

❗ Important: The v1 version of assign apps pages is deprecated. The support and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) that are offered to marketplaces that currently use v1 will continue to apply until v1 is retired. Support for v1 will end when the product is retired. Retirement is currently scheduled to happen on June 24, 2022. When v1 is decommissioned, it will no longer be available and you'll need to migrate to v2. See Product lifecycle phases for more information about the duration and impacts of each phase. Contact your AppDirect technical representative to have v2 enabled for your marketplace.

Company Administrators can manage application assignments for members and groups within their company. They can assign applications to users or groups, or they can assign users or groups to applications.

• If your company adds a new member, it might be easier to use the Assign User to Applications interface to make the assignment.
• If your company purchases a new application, it might be easier to use the Assign Application to Users interface to make the assignment.

⛔ Caution: If a product was created as a single-user product, you cannot manage it on behalf of a user. That is, you cannot assign it to another user, nor can you change the subscription or cancel the product. Single-user products are purchased directly by users who have the required permission to purchase products directly from a marketplace.
