Customize domain name

During a free trial, your marketplace uses a .byappdirect domain.

After you subscribe to AppDirect, you can change the URL associated with your marketplace to a custom subdomain.

Your custom domain must be a subdomain. For example, use marketplace.example.com. You cannot use a root or apex domain such as example.com.

Configure a custom domain in the marketplace

If Domain and Certificate Management is enabled for your marketplace, you can set up a custom domain yourself.

If Domain and Certificate Management does not appear under SETTINGS, the feature is not enabled for your marketplace yet. Use the request process below.

After you activate a custom domain, you cannot change it or revert to the default AppDirect URL in the UI. Contact your AppDirect technical representative for changes after activation.

Request a custom domain

If Domain and Certificate Management is not enabled for your marketplace, contact your AppDirect technical representative to request a domain change. You can also email marketplace.management@appdirect.com with the following information:

1. New desired marketplace URL (must be a subdomain)
2. Proposed change or migration date and time (at least 10 business days from your request)
3. Confirmation that you approve AppDirect to manage the certificate

Your AppDirect technical representative provides a ticket number to track the request. AppDirect creates the required DNS configuration and shares a CNAME record for your IT team to update. After DNS is confirmed, AppDirect updates your marketplace base URL and manages SSL certificate renewal.
