Manage payment methods
Some marketplaces permit Resellers to add and change customer payment methods and payment information. To update payment method information for customers, Resellers can add or change credit or debit cards and bank accounts.
Prerequisites
- AppDirect must enable payment methods.
- Your Marketplace Manager must give you the proper permission to access payment methods.
To add a credit or debit card as a customer payment method
- Go to Manage > Reseller > Home | Users > userName. The user details page opens.
- Click Payment Methods. The Add Card button appears.
- To add a debit or credit card, Click Add Card. The New credit or debit card page opens. Complete the following:
- Card number—Credit or debit card number.
- Expiration—Credit or debit card expiry date.
- Security Code—Three-digit or four-digit code on the front or back of the card.
- Name on card—Exact name on the card.
- Billing address—Name and address associated with this card and on file with the cardholder's bank.
- Click Add Card. The Payment Methods tab displays the saved payment method.
- To make the card the default payment method, click Make Default.
To add a bank account as a customer payment method
- Go to Manage > Reseller > Home | Users > userName. The user details page opens.
- Click Payment Methods. the Add Card button appears.
- To add a bank account, click Add Bank Account. The Add new bank account dialog appears. Complete the following:
- Account type—Type of account.
- Account nickname—A name to easily recognize the account.
- Routing number— The 9-digit number on your checks.
- Account number—The 4-17 digit number on your checks.
- Billing address—First name, Last name, Country, Address, City, State (select a country first), Zip code.
- Click Add Bank Account. The bank account appears in the Payments Methods tab under Bank accounts.
- To make the bank account the default payment method, click Make Default.
To change a customer payment method
- Go to Manage > Reseller > Home | Users > userName. The user details page opens, including a Payment Method tab.
- Click Payment Methods.
- To change a credit or debit card, click Replace Card or to change a bank account, click Replace Bank Account.
- Change the payment information.
- Click Confirm Change. The dialog closes and the card or bank account is changed.
