Localized catalog content in Product Uploader bulk operations

Moderate Upgrade

With this release, the new Product Uploader experience supports localized product content in bulk Create, Update, and Download operations. Marketplace Managers managing multi-locale catalogs can supply, maintain, and export translated field values through CSV and ZIP files using the same field coverage and locale rules that apply in the catalog UI, without entering translations manually for each locale.

Key highlights

  • Bulk Create accepts and persists localized field values for supported entities.
  • Bulk Update accepts locale-specific columns and applies changes per locale rules.
  • Bulk Download templates include localized field columns for supported locales and fields, enabling round-tripping of catalog data across locales.
  • Localization is supported for:
    • Product Basics
    • Product Benefits
    • Product Features
    • Product Feature Characteristics
    • Product Images
    • Product Media and Resources
    • Product Edition
    • Product Integration
    • Entire Catalog
  • CSV column headers remain in En-US. Localized content values are provided per the column and locale conventions documented in the templates.
  • En-US values are mandatory for product details.
  • Pricing attributes are not localized.
  • Row-level upload errors identify the column, row, locale, and rule violated.

UI updates

There are no new pages or navigation changes. The existing Data Uploader flows under Products > Data Uploader now include localized field columns in CSV and ZIP templates for supported entities. Downloads include localized values.
