Create platforms

You can add a supported platform to your marketplace.

📝 Note: Platform support may not be included on your marketplace.

To create a platform

📝 Note: If the AppDirect logo appears in the upper-left corner of the page, when Manage > Marketplace appears in this topic, click the grid icon > Switch to | Store, instead.

  1. Go to Manage > Marketplace > Products > Platforms & Devices | Platforms. The Platforms page opens.
  2. Click Add Platform. The Add Platform page opens.
  3. Select one of the following options in the Versioning section:
    • Requires No Version Support—Platforms that only support one version of a product or operating system. This includes Android and iOS.
    • Requires Additional Version Support—For platforms that require additional version support—for example, IoT platforms.

    📝 Note: These versioning options are only available if AppDirect has enabled AppDevices for your marketplace. Contact your AppDirect technical representative for more information about implementing platform version support.

  4. Perform the following steps in the Details section:
    1. Enter the platform name in the Name field.
    2. Enter a description of the platform in the Description field. This text appears below the platform name in the table on the Platforms page.
    3. Click Choose File, then navigate to a PNG, JPG, or GIF image file. This image appears next to the platform name in the table on the Platforms page. The file is automatically resized to fit the square display format.
  5. Click Save. A message confirms the platform was created, and the platform is added to the table on the Platforms page. A column on the Platforms page lets you know, for each platform, whether or not it has version support.
