Marketplace currency model

Each AppDirect marketplace operates using a single currency. It applies across products, checkout, billing, and reporting. This approach simplifies billing, payment processing, and reporting across the platform.

Product prices, discounts, and bundles are defined using the currency configured for the marketplace. Customers see prices and complete checkout using the same. Subscriptions, invoices, payments, and reports also follow this configuration.

Payment gateways connected to a marketplace typically support one currency per merchant account. As a result, payment processing follows a single, end-to-end flow. Conversion during checkout or billing is not supported.

Using more than one currency within a single marketplace is not supported. If multiple currencies are required, it is recommended to create a separate marketplace for each currency. Each marketplace can be configured independently and this approach ensures consistent pricing and reliable financial data.
