Publish themes

You can preview your theme in the production environment (see Manage themes), make updates, and upload new versions (see Manage theme versions) before you publish a theme to your storefront. If it is a component-based theme, you can also modify it in the Storefront Builder before publishing (see Work with the Storefront Builder).

When you publish a theme, the storefront theme is updated immediately. The theme on the Theme Manager page is updated with a new status, date, time, and publisher name. You can expand the Published History and History links (see View theme history) to see when a theme or theme version was published.

To publish a theme

📝 Note: If the AppDirect logo appears in the upper-left corner of the page, when Manage > Marketplace appears in this topic, click the grid icon > Switch to | Store, instead.

  1. Go to Manage > Marketplace > Theme Manager. The Theme Manager page opens.
  2. Click the gear icon in the row of the theme in the My Themes section.
  3. Click Publish. The Publish {themeName} dialog appears.
  4. Click Publish. A confirmation message appears. The theme is now live on your storefront.
    In addition, the following events occur in the Live Theme section:
    • The theme name appears in the Live Theme section.
    • The Last Published status shows the new date, time, and publisher name.
    • The Published History includes a new row that shows when you published the theme.
      The following events occur in the My Themes section:
    • The Live status appears in the row of your published theme.
    • The Last Updated column has a Published status with the new date, time, and publisher name.
