Manage theme translations
After a developer localizes the theme data (see Create theme translations), a Marketplace Manager can upload the translation files to the marketplace. You can also view the current translations for each of your live and unpublished themes and download them.
Note: A theme can only support one set of translation files. When you upload new or updated translation files, they overwrite the existing theme translations. If you need a backup of the existing theme, download a copy before you upload the latest translations.
📝 Note: If the AppDirect logo appears in the upper-left corner of the page, when Manage > Marketplace appears in this topic, click the grid icon > Switch to | Store, instead.
To view theme translations
- Go to Manage > Marketplace > Theme Manager. The Theme Manager page opens.
- Click Translations. The Translations page opens. The page contains a drop-down menu that you can use to switch between themes. The translation values are listed in the lower part of the page.
To download translation files
- Go to Manage > Marketplace > Theme Manager. The Theme Manager page opens.
- Click Translations. The Translations page opens.
- Select the theme from the drop-down menu.
- Click Download. The Export Translations dialog box appears.
- Click Download Translations. A .zip file that contains the translation files is downloaded. You can extract the translation files to the local
themes/_themeName_/translations
folder to update them and test the translations locally.
To upload translation files
- In the
themes/_themeName_/translations
folder, add the YAML files to a .zip file. - Go to Manage > Marketplace > Theme Manager. The Theme Manager page opens.
- Click Translations. The Translations page opens.
- Select the theme from the drop-down menu.
- Click Upload. The Upload Translations dialog box appears.
- Click Choose File, and select the translation .zip file.
- Click Upload Translations. The translation file is uploaded, and the changes appear on the Translation page.
